About this study:

Jesus Wants to Save Christians: A Manifesto for the Church in Exile (2008), co-written by Rob Bell and Don Golden, is a provocative and poetic exploration of how the American church has strayed from its biblical calling by aligning itself too closely with political power and consumerism. The central thesis is that the church, like Israel in exile, must return to the heart of the gospel: justice, mercy, and humility—rather than empire, privilege, and dominance. The book is a wake-up call for Christians to be blessed to be a blessing—especially to the oppressed.
